That's what those letters stand for - now what do they mean to you?

DRIVING WHILE LICENSE REVOKED or DWLR is a very serious criminal charge in North Carolina.
If this is your first criminal offense, you are risking up to 45 days in jail if convicted of this Class 1 Misdemeanor. If there are other convictions on your record, the possible sentence – if you are convicted – could be substantially greater.
You should seriously consider hiring an attorney to represent you in any DWLR matter. It's easy for drivers to get caught up in traffic trouble. One unpaid ticket turns into two, and the next thing you know – you're facing time in the county jail.
I will review your driving record with you and give you my best legal advice.
If your license was revoked for not taking care of another traffic ticket, we may be able to arrange to take care of that ticket and pay any license reinstatement fee before your court date to minimize the consequences of this charge.
If you have FAILURES TO APPEAR or FTAs on your record from other counties, I have contacts with traffic attorneys who can help you straighten out those matters in every North Carolina county.
If you choose to plead guilty to this charge in court, you should be prepared to pay $120 in court costs and up to $500 (typically $50 to $250) in fines.
Keep in mind that if you plead guilty to DWLR, the North Carolina DMV will automatically suspend your privilege to drive for an additional 12 months.
Everyone needs to drive. Everyone needs a valid drivers license. We can work with you and the DMV and the court system to get you back on the road legally.
